Who provides Dailies

What the service is

Dailies is a motion design studio you use in a browser. Signing in gives you a private workspace in which you create Projects, place components, and render video. A marketplace lets people publish a Project so that others can take a copy of it.

Your account

You need an account to use the studio. You can create one with GitHub, with Google, or with an email address and a password. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you must tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Do not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights in the Projects, components, media and video you create. We do not claim ownership of any of it, and we do not use it to train models.

We store and process it only to run the service for you: to keep your workspace, to render what you ask for, and to show the parts you have chosen to publish.

What you publish

Publishing a profile, a marketplace listing, or a comment makes it readable by anyone, signed in or not. By publishing you confirm that you have the right to do so, and you give other users permission to take a copy of what you listed and to use it in their own work.

You may unpublish a listing at any time. Copies other people already took remain theirs.

What you may not do

Publish anything you do not have the rights to, or that infringes anyone else.
Publish unlawful material, or anything designed to harm or deceive.
Attempt to reach another user’s workspace, or to break the isolation between accounts.
Use the rendering or storage capacity for something other than making your own work.
Work around the rate limits, the quotas, or the sign-in requirement.

Reporting something

If something published on Dailies infringes your rights or breaks these terms, write to [TO BE COMPLETED: contact email] with a link to it and an explanation. We will look at every report, and we may remove material or suspend an account.

Limits on the service

Each Project has a storage quota, currently 100 MB of media, and marketplace uploads are capped per file and per seller. We may change these limits, and we will not reduce one in a way that deletes work you have already stored without telling you first.

Paid features

Paid plans and paid marketplace listings are not open yet. When they are, payments will be handled by a merchant of record and the refund policy will apply.

Ending your account

You can stop using Dailies at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your work out.

The service is provided as it is

We work to keep Dailies available and to keep your work safe, but the service is provided without warranties, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so on this page and, where we can, by email before it takes effect.
